the only real exception i can think of:
NASCAR was cool in the origins when it was stock cars THAT WERE THE PRODUCT YOU COULD BUY BEING ADVERTISED, the advertisement being the race car performance itself, but it devolved into sportsball tier donut racetrack with dumb rules and unrelated products advertised on every surface and the cars arent even for sale.
